ABOUT
Paula Haeni is part of a young generation of musicians who are breaking down genre boundaries and exploring new paths. She engages deeply with electronic and contemporary music, blending these influences with improvisation and performative elements. Her focus lies primarily on low clarinets, placing the bass and contrabass clarinet at the center of attention and exploring the full range of these unique instruments.
Contemporary and transdisciplinary projects are at the heart of her artistic work. She is a member of the latenz ensemble, the Insub Meta Orchestra, and Blau Salvatge. In addition to her freelance activities, Paula Haeni teaches at the Bern University of Arts. She also organizes, oversees, and manages numerous projects.
In the first half of 2024, she spent time in Paris as part of a studio residency awarded by the Aargau Kuratorium. In 2025, she is a fellow of the SKK and will spend four months residency working in Belgrade.
Paula Haeni currently lives and works in Baden and Bern.
